[Realpacking Recorder] Barcode Relay Delay Options & Complete Code Timeout

January 28, 2026

Realpacking Recording Program v3.7.0 Beta is now available.

This update introduces delay options for Barcode Relay, enabling more precise configuration for diverse warehouse environments. We've also added a Complete Code Timeout feature that automatically cancels recordings when complete codes are missed, preventing unnecessarily long video files.

📦 Barcode Relay Delay: Fine-Tuned Settings for Your Workflow

Barcode Relay enables automatic video recording while maintaining your existing workflow—no WMS integration required. Every warehouse operates differently: some start with a pick list barcode and end with a shipping label scan, while others need to recognize only specific barcode formats.

The new Barcode Relay Delay options let you configure Recording Start Pattern, Recording End Pattern, and Recording Cancel Pattern separately using regular expressions. You can also set a Common Pattern that applies across all conditions. This allows Realpacking to adapt to virtually any barcode system your warehouse uses.

💡 Ideal for:

  • Warehouses that want automated video documentation without changing existing WMS workflows
  • Operations where start barcodes and end barcodes have different formats
  • Environments that need to recognize only specific barcode patterns
  • Facilities requiring custom configuration for unique barcode systems

How to Set Up

Barcode Relay Delay options require configuration tailored to your warehouse's barcode system. Please contact Realpacking for setup assistance.

⏱️ Complete Code Timeout: Auto-Cancel When Complete Codes Are Missed

In End-Mapping workflows, complete codes occasionally get missed during scanning. When this happens, recordings continue indefinitely, resulting in unnecessarily long video files that can affect subsequent operations.

The new Complete Code Timeout option sets a maximum wait time for complete codes in End-Mapping mode. If no complete code is scanned within the specified time, the recording is automatically canceled.

For example, setting a 60-second timeout means that if no complete code is scanned within 60 seconds of starting a recording, that recording is automatically canceled and the system returns to standby mode for the next order.

💡 Ideal for:

  • End-Mapping workflows where complete codes are occasionally missed
  • Preventing unnecessarily long recordings from missed scans
  • Ensuring scan errors don't disrupt subsequent operations

How to Set Up

  1. Log in to the Recording Program
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Enter your preferred timeout value in the Complete Code Timeout field (in seconds)
